Xoom sends account statements to help our customers stay on top of their transaction activity.
If I had no transaction activity, why am I still getting a statement? If you have been active on Xoom in the past 12 months, you will receive a statement by email each month, even if no transactions occurred during the statement period.
What is the importance of sending me an empty statement?A statement that shows no transactions helps you confirm that there was no unauthorized activity on your account.
Can I unsubscribe or opt out of these emails? Unfortunately you can’t unsubscribe from account statement emails. Xoom is required by law to send statements on a regular basis to all Xoom account holders.
Does the CAN-SPAM act allow me to unsubscribe from statements? The CAN-SPAM Act requires businesses to provide an unsubscribe link for advertising or promotional emails. Transactional emails, like receipts and account statements, don’t include unsubscribe links because Xoom is required to send them as a federally regulated money transmitter. You can learn more about CAN-SPAM at
ftc.gov.
Can I close my account and stop receiving these emails? In order to close your Xoom account and stop receiving these emails, please
