To pick up money, your recipient should have:
- Xoom transaction number
- One of the following valid government issued IDs:
- Driver's license
- Passport,
- Credencial para votar (INE)
Payout limitsNote that some partners have lower payout limits than transaction limits of Xoom’s. Limits areas follow:
- Banco Banorte – 8,000 MXN within 15 days (when picking up in Sinaloa, Sonora, Chihuahua, Nuevo Leon, Coahuila and Tamaulipas)
- BanCoppel –Transaction limit is 1,450 USD
- Recipient limit is 3,000 USD per day
- Recipient limit is 800 USD per day when picking up at Guanajuato, Guerrero, Jalisco, Michoacán, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Estado de México location 489, Baja California Norte location 368 and Oaxaca locations 492, 920, 1043, 1081, 1092 and 1284.

- Caja Popular Mexicana – 2,000 USD
- Chedraui – 10,000 MXN
- Commerical Mexicana – 1,000 USD per transaction
- Famsa – 2,900 USD
- Farmacias Guadalajara – 15,000 MXN
- Farmacias Isseg – 900 USD
- Intermex – 1,500 USD (individual locations may have lower limits)
- Soriana – 1,500 USD (money will be loaded onto a Soriana card and can be withdrawn at any Soriana, including stores previously known as Gigante)
- Walmart – 930 USD
Although some limits are shown in USD, money is paid out in MXN.
Chedraui
Your recipient will need a Cartera Dinámica card, which will be used to load all future transactions. To get the card, they’ll need a valid passport or ID and a photocopy of those documents.
Caja Popular Mexicana
Your recipient must be a member of Caja Popular Mexicana.
If your recipient isn’t a member, they can sign up when picking up cash (must be at least 18 years old). by providing the following:
- Proof of address in the same territory as the co-op branch
- Birth certificate and a copy of the same
- 2 photos
- A copy of the ID
- 750.00 MXN membership fee, which will be deposited into the account
Or they can pick up cash at Banorte — no membership required.
BanCoppel in the states of Baja California and Sonora
To pick up money at BanCoppel locations in Baja California and Sonora, the state in your recipient’s address information must match the state of the cash pickup location.
Elektra requirements in Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon and Tamaulipas
To pick up any amount of money in these areas, the city and state in your recipient’s address must match the city and state of the cash pickup location.

There are daily, monthly, and yearly limits for the amount of money and transactions one person can receive at Elektra locations in Mexico. Limits can also vary by state. See the table below for more information:
