When sending a transaction, we’ll ask you for information about your contact and their bank account. Make sure to enter all information carefully to avoid delays. Here’s what you’ll need to know:
- Bank details
- Your contact’s account number and supported currency
- The entire name of your contact as it appears on their bank account
- A valid phone number from your contact (city code + domestic number)
- We may ask for your contact's mailing address if required by our payment partner
Bank transfers to most major banks are deposited in 2-3 business days. However, each bank operates differently and may have additional rules and regulations regarding deposits that could add additional transfer time. Please ask your contact to check with their bank for more details.
Additional information to consider before sending to a bank account in Guatemala:
- You can send Guatemala Quetzals (GTQ) or US Dollars (USD), depending on your contact’s bank. If you send it to an account that doesn’t support the desired currency, your transaction will be canceled.
- For G&T Continental Bank, money can only be deposited in Guatemala Quetzals (GTQ).
- The money will be deposited within a few minutes or up to a few hours on average.
- There's an $8,500 USD monthly limit for both you and your contacts when sending with Banrural.
