When sending a transaction, we’ll ask you information about your contact and their bank account. Make sure to enter all information carefully to avoid delays. Here’s what you’ll need to know:
- Bank details following this format: transit number (5 digits), Institution number (3 digits) and account number (5-12 characters)
- The entire name of your contact as it appears on their bank account
- A valid phone number from your contact (city code + domestic number)
- We may ask for your contact's mailing address if required by our payment partner
Additional information to consider before sending to a bank account in Canada:
- All deposits are made in Canadian Dollars (CAD), and transfers to accounts that hold multiple currencies are not available.
- Transactions submitted by 11 am EST on a bank business day are made available to your contact by 5 pm EST the next business day. Transactions submitted on weekends or holidays will be posted 2 full business days later.
- When you send over 1,000 CAD in a 24-hour period, we’ll request you more information via email to complete the transfer. Here’s what we may ask:
- A copy of a government issued ID (passport, driver’s license, etc)
- A utility bill as proof of address
- A card or bank statement
