When sending money for cash pick up, make sure you have this information from your contact:
- Their first and last name (as it appears on their valid ID)
- Their phone number (must be valid, include the area code)
- Their complete address
- Their email address (it may be required by our partners)
What does my contact need for cash pick up?
When your contact arrives at the pickup location, they’ll need to provide the transaction number alongside a valid ID. Please check which document of valid ID are accepted, as they may vary depending on the partner you choose:
For Bancolombia
- Identification Card (cédula de identidad)
- Foreigner Identification Card (Cédula de extranjería)
- Passport
- Government issued photo ID (Identificación con foto ID emitida por el gobierno)
For Davivienda
- Identification card (cédula de identidad)
- Government issued photo ID (Identificación con foto ID emitida por el gobierno)
For Banco W
- Identification Card (cédula de identidad)
- Foreigner Identification Card (Cédula de extranjería)
- Passport
- Government issued photo ID (Identificación con foto ID emitida por el gobierno)
Additional information to consider before sending money for cash pick up in Colombia:
- If you’re sending money with Bancolombia for the first time your contact doesn’t need to take any additional steps. However, if your contact has previously received money as a bank deposit, they’ll need to deactivate the 'Abono Automático' option. Otherwise, the transaction will only be available as a bank deposit until they unenroll. You can also contact Bancolombia if needed.
- If you’re sending money with Davivienda your contact has to complete a biometrical authentication at their offices “Oficinas de Servicio”.
