With Xoom, you can use the following payment methods:

 

Residents of the United States or Canada

• Bank account - if your bank account is in Canada, you can use it to send transactions in CAD; if your bank is in the United States, you can use it to send transactions in USD.
• Debit or credit card - you can send USD or CAD as long as your card was issued in the same currency you want to send.
• Payment methods in your PayPal account - if you log in with PayPal, you can use eligible linked cards, banks, and your PayPal balance. Users in the U.S. (excluding Hawaii) who have linked their Xoom and eligible PayPal Balance accounts may also be able to use PayPal’s stablecoin, PayPal USD (PYUSD). Learn more about the payment methods you can use with PayPal on PayPal’s Help Center.

 

Residents of Europe Economic Area (EEA) members where the Xoom service is available 

• Bank account - If your bank account is in the United Kingdom, you can use it to send transactions in GBR; if your bank is in the EEA, you can use it to send transactions in EUR. 
• Debit or credit card - you can send EUR or GBP, as long as your card was issued in the same currency you want to send. 
• Payment methods in your PayPal account - if you log in with PayPal, you can use linked cards, banks, and your PayPal balance. Learn more about the payment methods you can use with PayPal on PayPal’s Help Center. 

  

Residents of the United Kingdom 

• Bank account - for all currencies we accept (USD, CAD, EUR, GBP), as long as your bank account is in the same currency you want to send. 
• Debit or credit card - for all currencies we accept (USD, CAD, EUR, GBP), as long as your card was issued in the same currency you want to send. 
• Payment methods in your PayPal account - if you log in with PayPal, you can use linked cards, banks, and your PayPal balance. Learn more about the payment methods you can use with PayPal on PayPal’s Help Center. 

  

Residents of Australia 

• Debit or credit card - you can send AUD, as long as your card was issued in Australia. 
• Payment methods in your PayPal account – if you log in with PayPal, you can use your PayPal balance, and other funding sources you have linked to your PayPal account. Learn more about payment methods you can use with PayPal on PayPal’s Help Center.  

 

For all Xoom users:

You can add a new payment method when sending a new transaction and manage your payment methods on My Account under Settings.

 

Additional information to consider about the availability of payment methods:

• When you send large amounts of money using your bank account, we may wait for your payment to arrive to us from your bank account before sending it to your contact, which may take up to 3 business days. 
• For transactions paid with a credit card, your card issuer may charge a cash advance fee. 
• Your PayPal balance will only appear as an option if you have enough balance in the desired send currency to cover your Xoom transaction in full, including any transfer fee. To check your PayPal balance, simply log in to your PayPal account. 
• If you pay with a debit or credit card, you may be asked to confirm that you are the card owner by services like Verified by Visa or Mastercard SecureCode. Your bank provides these services to help protect against the unauthorized use of your card.
