When sending a transaction, we’ll ask you for information about your contact and their bank account. Make sure to enter all information carefully to avoid delays. Here’s what you’ll need to know:
- Bank details and account number
- The entire name of your contact as it appears on their bank account
- A valid phone number from your contact (city code + domestic number)
- We may ask for your contact's mailing address if required by our payment partner
Additional information to consider before sending to a bank account in Jamaica:
- Our payment partners, VMBS and JMMB, will request your contact’s TRN (Taxpayer Registration Number) and a valid ID, like a driver’s license.
- When sending to VMBS, ask your contact to email the document to https://vmmoneytransfer.vmbs.com/electronicauthorisation/
- JMMB will call your contact to retrieve information and make the transfer available. They can also go to a JMMB branch in person and present the docs.
- When sending to your own bank account in Jamaica, have your Jamaican Driver’s license in hand; our partner may request it.
