How can I send with PayPal USD on Xoom?
If you are in the US and have linked your Xoom and PayPal Balance accounts, you can select PayPal USD (PYUSD) as your funding source for a Xoom transaction to most countries if the PYUSD in your Balance account meets or exceeds the amount of the Xoom transaction. We’ll sell your PYUSD and then use the USD proceeds to fund the transaction.
Am I eligible?
You can use PayPal USD (PYUSD) on Xoom if you meet the following requirements:
- You are in the US
- You have linked your Xoom account and your PayPal Balance account
- Your PayPal Balance account is provisioned for crypto
- Note: The PYUSD in your Balance account must meet or exceed the amount of the Xoom transaction to show up as a payment method on Xoom. PYUSD may not be available as a payment method for all Xoom transactions.
What if I don’t complete the Xoom transaction?
If you sell PayPal USD (PYUSD) for USD to fund a Xoom transaction, but the Xoom transaction fails to complete or is cancelled, you’ll get the funds back in your PayPal Balance account as USD rather than PYUSD. All crypto sales are final.
Which cryptocurrencies are supported on Xoom?
Customers in the US can fund Xoom payments using PayPal’s stablecoin, PayPal USD (PYUSD). PayPal does support other cryptocurrencies, however only PYUSD is currently available on Xoom.
