With Xoom, your contacts don’t need a Xoom or PayPal account to receive the money. You can send directly to their bank account, debit card, or mobile wallet. You can also have cash available for pickup at one of our partner’s locations or for delivery to your contact’s home address.
The options available vary according to the country you’re sending to, and the payment partner processing the transaction.
Here’s how to send money on the Xoom app:
- Log in to your account and tap Send money
- Select the destination country
- Choose how the money will get to your contact (options vary by country)
- Enter your contact’s bank account or mobile wallet information, or choose a pickup location
- Add your contact’s personal information
- If it’s your first time with us, complete your profile
- Choose how you want to pay
- Review your information carefully
- Slide to Send!

- Go to My Account and click Send money

The payment methods available vary depending on the currency you’re paying with.
When you send cash for pickup, your contact will need to present a valid photo ID alongside the transaction number at the partner’s location. If any information you provided on the transaction mismatches your contact's ID, they’ll not be able to pick up the money.
